China Headhunter SunTzu Recruit has learned that the latest released “Zhongguancun World-Leading Science Park Construction Plan (2024-2027)”, the full simulation optoelectronic intelligent computing chip, a series of achievements in artificial intelligence, the original theory and materials of corner boron nitride optical crystals, the quantum cloud computing power cluster, the 300-megawatt F-class heavy-duty gas turbine completed assembly, the third-generation “Xiangshan” RISC-V open-source high-performance processor core, the analysis and application of crop salt-alkali tolerance mechanisms, the “Beinao No. 2” intelligent brain-computer system, as well as FAST’s first detection of the shortest orbital period pulsar binary system to date, the discovery of the brightest gamma-ray burst photons by “LHAASO”, and EAST’s realization of the world’s longest repeatable high-confinement mode plasma operation, among other major technological infrastructure, have achieved a series of internationally leading results.
“Quantum computing is a disruptive technology that is expected to break through the bottleneck of traditional computing power and has broad application prospects in fields such as artificial intelligence, drug development, logistics optimization, and finance,” said Chang Kai, executive dean of the Beijing Institute of Quantum Information Science. The latest achievement, the “large-scale quantum cloud computing power cluster”, has entered the top international tier in comprehensive indicators and has made comprehensive upgrades in software aspects such as measurement and control, compilation optimization, and user interaction. It supports advanced functions such as circuit weaving and variational circuit compilation and will be open to global users for free.
The “Beinao No. 2” intelligent brain-computer system was jointly developed by the Beijing Institute of Brain Science and Brain-like Research and Beijing XinzhiDa Neural Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as XinzhiDa). Li Yuan, the business development director of XinzhiDa, stated in an interview that brain-computer interfaces need to integrate complex systems across multiple disciplines, with a long upstream and downstream industrial chain, involving electrodes, data, algorithms, analysis software, biocompatible materials, and other aspects in the R&D process. The “Beinao No. 2” intelligent brain-computer system has achieved, for the first time globally, the interception of a two-dimensional moving target by a monkey through thought control. The breakthrough of this technical problem lays the foundation for the development of more natural and flexible new-generation neural prostheses and other clinical applications.
