China headhunter updates. On September 7, Xiaomi Technology announced an important personnel adjustment decision, involving changes in the positions of several senior management personnel: Xiaomi Group President Lu Weibing will also serve as the President of the Xiaomi Mobile Division, while Zeng Xuezhong, who previously held the position of President of the Mobile Division, will be transferred to President of the International Business Division, while continuing to oversee the Internet Business Division. This adjustment marks Xiaomi’s further optimization of its management structure to adapt to the new landscape of global competition.
According to internal emails, Lu Weibing will continue to report to Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun, while Zeng Xuezhong will report to Lu Weibing. Prior to this, Lu Weibing held the roles of Xiaomi Group partner, Group President, and President of the International Business Division, responsible for the mobile division, ecological chain division, major appliances division, and operations in China and India. Zeng Xuezhong is the Senior Vice President of Xiaomi Group and President of the mobile division, focusing on mobile product research and development and production.
This adjustment means that the main areas of responsibility for the two executives have been swapped. Lu Weibing will focus more on the research and development and production of the core product line—smartphones, while Zeng Xuezhong will be dedicated to expanding Xiaomi’s influence in the global market.
Xiaomi Group has rapidly grown in the past few years, achieving significant success not only in the Chinese market but also making breakthrough progress in overseas markets, especially in India, Southeast Asia, and Europe. This personnel adjustment may help Xiaomi further integrate resources and strengthen its competitiveness in the global market.
According to sources close to Xiaomi, Lu Weibing, as the president of Xiaomi Group, will continue to be fully responsible for the overall operations of the company. This adjustment is aimed at better leveraging the strengths of the two executives to ensure the company maintains its leading position in a rapidly changing market environment.
